Publishing on Draft2Digital

Steps

1. Create an account and add your payment and tax details.
2. Add a book: title, description, categories and contributors.
3. Upload the manuscript and cover, and check the preview.
4. Choose which stores and library services to send it to, and set your price.
5. Publish. Each store lists it on its own schedule, so it appears in some before others.

Watch out for

• Distributes onward to Apple, Kobo, Barnes & Noble and libraries from one upload. Do not also list those stores directly or you will have two listings competing.
• Do not also list the same ebook directly at a store Draft2Digital reaches — you would have two listings competing for the same readers.
• If the ebook is in KDP Select, it cannot go to any other store, so leave Draft2Digital's stores unticked for it.
• Draft2Digital takes a share of each sale instead of charging up front.

How StoriesDen helps

• Format turns your manuscript into an EPUB, with your chosen theme, front matter and table of contents.
• Covers sizes your cover for each edition, so the ebook cover matches what the store asks for.
• The online publishing manager tracks this listing and tells you what is still missing before you upload.
• Format makes the print-ready PDF at your trim size, checked against the trim sizes Amazon KDP and IngramSpark publish.
• The wrap-cover tool lays out back, spine and front at your spine width.
• The print publishing manager tracks the listing and what it still needs.
